Counting the blessings of Allah

وَإِنْ تَعُدُّوا نِعْمَتَ اللَّهِ لَا تُحْصُوهَا ۗ إِنَّ الْإِنْسَانَ لَظَلُومٌ كَفَّارٌ1

And He grants you whatever you as ask of him. If you try (repeatedly) to count Allah’s bounties you will never be able to so. Indeed man is extremely unjust and very ungrateful

Our lives are filled with continuous gifts from Allah. If one were to consider the human body alone, it will not suffice the countless favours encountered by the creation of Allah. The human body is made up of over ten trillion cells. Each cell is a blessing from Allah. But this does not mean there are only ten trillion blessings in the human body. There are much more. Each cell is made up of a group of molecules, which [in turn] are made up of a group of atoms, and each of these cells are under constant attack by an army of viruses every second of every day.

Furthermore, He has blessed people with the five senses, good health, sustenance and Iman which is the greatest of blessings. To enumerate the blessings of Allah is impossible.

It is only right that one shows gratitude to Allah by saying Alhamdulillah and by obeying Him. At the very least one should not use these blessings to disobey Allah. He can take away as easily as He has given, and it is because of his mercy that He lets them remain.
